Rick Heltne, Partner
How does your personal mission serve SIMA Partners clients?
Rick finds great joy in navigating transitions with organizations and individuals. When a significant fit to a role occurs as a result, then both the person and the organization are able to thrive in ways that bring a higher level of mission fulfillment. Developing a sense of partnership with clients is also a motivating factor in Rick’s work.
For the past eleven years, Heltne has been a leader in searches for churches and faith-based organizations, helping SIMA Partners establish itself as a pioneer in the field.
Rick has recently worked on senior and director level searches for such non-profit organizations as: CityTeam, World Vision, Youth Frontiers, Treehouse and Santa Barbara Rescue Mission.
Prior to entering the retained executive search business, Rick was an Area Director with Young Life, a youth minister and Vice President of a nonprofit training organization.
Rick enjoys coaching and mentoring those in transitional stages of life, especially ‘emerging adults’ and those moving from careers in business to non-profit and ministry roles.
He is a member of Colonial Church where he has served as Chair of the Youth Ministry Committee, as mentor/coach for the Innove (a social entrepreneur initiative) and as a Confirmation leader.
Rick spent many years coaching youth hockey.
